The Waterford softball team made a valiant comeback but couldn't come all the way back losing to Canajoharie 4-3.
Canajoharie's Gina Santos made two stellar play in center field one an all-out diving catch to end the fifth and the other a perfect throw to nail the tying run at the plate in the sixth.

Jamie VanBramer got things going for the Fordians hitting her ninth home run of the season to put her team on the board in the sixth.

The Fordians scored twice more that inning but came out on the wrong side of a close play at home plate as Canajoharie catcher Sarah Blood tagged out Waterford pinch runner Amanda Conners as the two collided at home plate.
