It's Springtime

LaSalle's Matt Boudreau gets high fived after scoring in the second inning against Troy during high school sectional baseball action Saturday, May 21, 2005 at Geer Field. (J.S.CARRAS/ THE RECORD)

Well, it almost feels like springtime outside, which raises the question - who are the teams to beat this season?
Are there any pitchers you think will hurl no-hitters well into the summer? Any high-flyers that will be tearing it up on the track?

Let us know what you think - submit a comment to this post or drop us a line at troyrecordsports [at] gmail.com

Keep your eyes open for All-City basketball teams in the near future (Girls team on Thursday the 27th and boys on Friday the 28th). Who do you think should make the cut? What players are on your All-Area squad? Let us know!

Thanks to everyone who voted in the Fox23 poll last week - we won by over 20 points!
We'll recriprocate the honor back to Fox - I think they did the best job out of all the TV stations this winter. They had cameras at most games and have the best in-depth features with the 30-minute show every week.
You can look at video on their site by clicking here.
Channel 9 also does a nice job, but they lack the half-hour show.
Channel 13's top ten is a nice touch, as is the player of the week, but the nightly highlight recaps aren't as well done as Fox and Channel 9.

Have a different take? Let us know.
