Hoosic Valley vs. Ogdensburg, Further Reading
The Hoosic Valley boys team tips off aginst Fonda in the section II class B semifinals at the Glens Falls Civic Center (click on it for the full size).
Both the boys and girls teams from Hoosic Valley will take on section X opponent Ogdensburg Free Academy this weekend in the state regionals.
It sounds like FM 99 in Potsdam will broadcast the games online (audio).

Ogdensburg boys stats are here, and you can see how the Blue Devils stack up among other section X teams here.
The Indians, if they beat Ogdensburg in the regional semis, would play section VII winner Plattsburgh in the regional finals on Saturday in Potsdam. Read a story about the Plattsburgh boys team here.
The girls take on the Lady Blue Devils on Saturday in the regional final. See how the Ogdensburg girls stack up against their section here. Here's a recap from the Plattsburgh paper on their semifinal win over Clinton.
7:38 pm: At halftime of the boys game, Ogdensburg leads 26-7.
8:22 pm: Final from Potsdam, Ogdensburg 56, Hoosic Valley 33. Pat Lanoue scored 14 and Alex Kugler added eight.
As coach Dan Calhoun has told me, the kids cannot be disappointed with a 21-4 season. They won their first league title since 1974 and were the only class B team from section II left standing at the end of the sectional tournament.
The folks in Schaghticoke still have the girls to root on - they play Ogdensburg tomorrow afternoon.
