Bethlehem premier 20u team playing in national cup this weekend

The Bethlehem Soccer Club’s U20 Premier Team, which features a number of Rensselaer County athletes, will be competing this weekend in the USASA U20 National Cup in Manalapan, NJ hosted by the USASA Region I National Cups Committee. Should Bethlehem advance out of pool play and their elimination game they will play for the U20 National Championship Sunday afternoon.

The Bethlehem Knights play in the U23 New York Premier League. The New York Premier Soccer League [NYPSL] is in its fourth season. The NYPSL offers both a men's and women's divisions. The objective of the NYPSL is to provide players between U18 and U23 with training and match opportunities during the summer months in preparation for the college season. Teams are primarily from the Capital District of New York; however, teams from Dutchess County and Syracuse have participated. The season begins the first week of June and concludes the first week of August. The season consists of a ten to twelve match schedule with an emphasis on training. The NYPSL is a member of the Eastern District Soccer League (EDSL) and is an affiliate of United States Adult Soccer League, US Soccer and FIFA.

The team is coached by former College of St Rose Head Coach Jeremy Bogan and consists of some of the top collegiate talent from The Capital District. Members of the Bethlehem team include;
