La Salle to face Mamaroneck in State Semi's

La Salle's state semi final opponent is now set. The Cadets will take on Mamaroneck out of section I Saturday at Sylvester Field at Union-Endicott High School in Binghamton. Game time is set for 1p.m., with the the championship game against the Massapequa (VIII)/Hilton (V) winner at 4p.m.
Mamaroneck is ranked No.2 in the state behind the Cadets but spent most of the season as the top ranked team before La Salle overtook them late in the season.


The Tigers beat Vestal 6-0 in the state regional first round and then routed Minisink Valley 13-3 in the quarterfinals. They have outscored their opponents by an average of six runs a game since the start of sectionals.
Sean Hagan is expected to get the start for the Tigers, the 6-foot-5 junior left hander has already made a verbal commitment to attend St. John's University after his senior year.
The Tigers are currently ranked No.10 nationally in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll.
