2010 Section II XC meet results

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Lansingburgh High School senior C.J. Sousis made it a three-peat Friday afternoon at Saratoga Spa State Park.
Sousis placed fifth overall in the Section II Class B boys cross country race in a time of 16:03, clinching his third straight berth in the New York State meet, which will be held Nov. 13 in Pawling.

Girls Class AA
Shenendehowa junior Lizzie Predmore won the race in a time of 17:07, but the Saratoga Springs girls clinched the next six spots in order, cruising to the team title.
Shen's Gina Stalica and Caroline Hampton, as well as Columbia's Kaylee Scott and Guilderland's Jenna Robinson are all bound for the state meet as well.

Girls Class A
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake edged out Queensbury for the team title, 32-26, thanks to a second place finish by Dani Martino, at right.
Queensbury's Brittany Winslow, Jolie Navatka, Danielle Winslow and Keara Bryrne, as well as Holy Names' Leah Triller are all headed to the state meet.
The rest of the Burnt Hills team, paced by Meagan Roecker, at left, claimed spots six through 11.
Girls Class B
Broadalbin-Perth won the team title.
Albany Academy's Morgan Wojtusik, the race winner, along with Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons' Talya Williams, Glens Falls' Erika Kuhn and Cobleskill-Richmondville's Larissa Melendez and Marisa Hitchcock will represent Section II at the state meet.
Girls Class C
Greenwich cruised to the team title, but Samantha Watson (Schuylerville), Courtney Tedeschi (Berne-Knox-Westerlo), Kimberly Geniti (Fonda-Fultonville), Alicia Clark (Granville) and Michelyn Little (Voorheesville) are also bound for the state meet.
Hoosic Valley's Maggie Sanderson (at left) takes an early lead in the girls Class C race. Sanderson placed 14th in Friday's run.
Girls Class D
North Warren edged Berlin for the team title, 30-36, but Berlin's Kayleigh Corrado and Hannah French will represent the Mountaineers at the state meet, as will Lidija Nikollaj (Mayfied), Susanna Geilen (Hawthorne Valley) and Sarah Montgomery (Mayfield).

Boys Class AA
As expected the No. 1 ranked Shaker boys romped to a team title.
Sam Place (Saratoga Springs), Marshall Pagano (Niskayuna), Ian Dorset (Shenendehowa), Ed Brown (Colonie) and Kyle Cronostaj (Columbia) will represent their teams at the state meet.
Christian Delago, a junior at Shaker High School, nears the finish line at the conclusion of the Section II Class AA race Friday afternoon. Delago was the first to cross the line in 15:08, leading the Blue Bison to a team title.
Boys Class A
The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake boys won the team title behind Otis Ubriaco's, pictured at right, first place finish.
Queensbury will send three runners to the state meet in Gary Messina, Aaron Newell and Troy Kelly. Scotia-Glenville will send Ben Kraines and Alex Gilgore.
Boys Class B
Broadalbin-Perth edged out Icahbod Crane and Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons for the team title.
Bishop Gibbons' Matt Lange and Jordan Pantalone, as well as Nick Marcantonio (Glens Falls), Mike Morrow (Ravena) and C.J. Sousis (Lansingburgh) will head to the state meet.
Boys Class C
Fonda-Fultonville captured the team title.
Austin Lane (Greenwich), Derek Struck (Berne-Knox-Westerlo), Willie Underwood (Lake George), Tucker Hampson (Schuylerville) and Joe Becker (Voorheesville) are headed to the state meet.
Boys Class D
Mayfield edged Berlin for the team title, 37-43.
Berlin, however, will send Alex French, Connor Hoyt and Lew Palmer to the state meet along with
Jake Urys (Schenectady Christian) and Connor Brady (Schoharie).
