Section II football - Saturday scoreboard; Troy High soccer extends shutout streak

One high school football note for Saturday...the Fonda-Fultonville at Catholic Central High School Class C South Division game has been rescheduled for Sunday at 6 p.m. in Lansingburgh.

As the rest of the scores trickle in, I will post them here. I will also update this page with revised standings and polls later tonight.

Saturday's local roundup:

TROY — The shutout streak for the Troy High School football team ended Friday night, but the Flying Horses’ soccer team kept its opponent off the scoreboard yet again on Saturday afternoon.
Brendan Dory and Brendan Wilson scored first half goals for the Troy High School soccer team Saturday afternoon in a 2-0 victory over La Salle Institute in Big 10 Conference action.
Bobby Strang made six saves in the shutout effort for the Flying Horses (6-0-0. 7-0-0). Troy has yet to allow a single goal this season and had outscored opponents 19-0.
Alex Pakatar stopped 10 shots in net for the Cadets (1-5-0, 2-6-0).

Girls Soccer
Watervliet 1, Fonda-Fultonville 0: Alysa Chartrand scored late in the second half to lift the Cannoneers to a Colonial Council victory over the Braves (0-7-0, 0-7-0).
Beatrice Lease made six saves in goal for Watervliet (2-4-0, 2-4-0).
Shenendehowa 2, Burnt Hills 0: Shannon McMillan and Madeline Mylod scored goals for the Lady Plainsmen in a Suburban Council victory over the Spartans. 
Football
Class D
Bishop Gibbons 26, Salem 0: Johnny Villanueva completed 10-of-14 passes for 101 yards and three touchdowns in a Class D victory for the Golden Knights (2-2, 2-2).
Justin Relyea gained 121 rushing yards on 10 attempts for Gibbons and Colin Petramale added a fumble recovery on defense.
Salem (0-5, 0-5) received a fumble recovery from Nick Burch and an interception from Bobby Tobin.
