High school lacrosse playoff update

Troy High travels to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High school Tuesday night for a Section II playoff game against the Spartans. Nic Capano, seen here with the ball in a game against La Salle earlier this season, will finish his career as the Flying Horses' all-time leading scorer. (Photo by Mike McMahon - The Record).

The Section II boys and girls lacrosse playoffs are getting very interesting. Troy High's and Lansingburgh's boys teams will be in action Tuesday afternoon. The Knights are hosting first-year program Cambridge in a Class C game, while the Flying Horses head to Burnt Hills for a game under the lights.

La Salle plays at No. 1 seed Shenendehowa Wednesday night.

Albany Academy for Girls senior Caroline Gersuk has carried the Bears to yet another Section II title game. She will play at Northwestern University next year. (Photo by J.S. Carras - The Record).

The girls, who got a head start on the boys, are already in the championship round. All three games will be played at the University at Albany on Wednesday.

Our lacrosse expert Chris Fitz Gerald will be all over the action, so look back for more in The Record in the coming days.
