Connie Mack World Series qualifier rain update

Rain washed out much of today's scheduled action in the 2009 Connie Mack World Series qualifier, but some teams will be looking to take the field very shortly this afternoon.

Geer Field will play host to the Long Island Tigers and the Connecticut Capitals at 5 p.m.

At Knickerbacker Park, the Lansingburgh Royals and the South Troy Dodgers 17-year-olds will resume their suspended game at 5 p.m. and the Dodgers will take on the New York Nine as soon as that game is finished.

At Clifton Common, the Long Island Titans will face the New York Nine-Farrah's squad at 4:30 p.m. and the Clifton Park Yankees will take on the Titans around 6:30.
The Clifton Park Yankees and the Bayside Yankees will start as soon as that game is finished.

The sites at Colonie High School and the Boght Area Complex have been shut down and will try to get going first thing Friday morning. Everything, of course, is weather-permitting.
