LATHAM - Local high school and college-age baseball players will continue the pursuit of their World Series dream when the 2009 New York State Connie Mack Tournament kicks off this afternoon at the Boght Area Baseball Complex.
The winner advances to the North Atlantic Regional, to be hosted at Geer Field beginning July 22. The regional champion heads to the 2009 Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, N.M.
Connie Mack baseball is open to all amateur players born on or after May 1, 1990.

First Round, Wed. July 15
All games at Boght Area Baseball Complex, Latham
2:30 p.m. – South Troy Dodgers 17s vs. Brunswick Red
2:30 p.m. – Lansingburgh Royals vs. Watertown A’s
5:30 p.m. – South Colonie Raiders vs. West Genesee
5:30 p.m. – Brunswick Blue vs. Sorensco Falcons
8 p.m. – North Colonie Padres vs. Clifton Park Yankees

Games continue Thursday at Noon, 3 and 6 p.m. with a possibility for an 8 p.m. game depending on the schedule.
