All-City Teams, 2007-08

2007-08 First Team All-City Girls

Andrea Butler

School: Cohoes. Height: 5-4

Class: Senior. Position: Guard

2007-2008 Accomplishments: Led the Tigers
to a Colonial Council Championship. The catalyst
on the
Cohoes team, Butler averaged 9.9 points
and seven assists per game. She was named to
the Colonial Council All-Star first team and was a
Section II Class B tournament all-star.
excelled in the classroom as well earning schol¬
ar athlete and National Honors Society awards.

Courtney Galuski

School: Cohoes. Height: 5-7

Class: Senior. Position: Guard/Forward

2007-2008 Accomplishments: Galuski had a
senior season to remember. The
Cohoes sharp
shooter tied a national record with 15 three-point¬
ers in one game against Schalmont. She finished
the year with 84 treys good for second place in
section II history. Galuski was featured in Sports
Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd after her record
breaking performance. She led the Tigers in
scoring with 13.5 points per game and eight
rebounds. She was named to the Colonial
Council All-Star second team, is a scholar athlete
and a member of the National Honors Society.

Paige Colfer

School: Watervliet. Height: 5-10

Class: Senior. Position: Forward

2007-2008 Accomplishments: Colfer led the
Lady Cannoneers to a section II class C cham¬
pionship, and to the regional finals. She scored
nine points in Watervliet’s win over one-seed
Mechanicville in the class CC championship
game and scored a game high 14 points in a win
over Maple Hill in the Class C-CC title game.
Colfer averaged a double-double in her senior
year scoring 11.5 points per game and grabbing
14 rebounds. She was named to the Colonial
Council All-Star second team and was a scholar
athlete of the month.

Chanessa Blakemore

School: Watervliet. Height: 5-11

Class: Senior. Position: Forward

2007-2008 Accomplishments: Part of the Lady
Cannoneers twin towers along with Colfer. The
senior transfer from Bishop Maginn averaged 11.3
points, 13.6 rebounds and four blocks per game.
Blakemore was selected to the Colonial Council’s
All-Star first team and was a scholar athlete of the
month at Watervliet. She had 10 points, four
blocks and a game high 15 rebounds in the Class
CC-C championship game against Maple Hill.


Alison McGrath

School: Catholic Central. Height: 6-1

Class: Senior. Position: Center

2007-2008 Accomplishments: Led the
Crusaders in scoring with 12.7 points a game
and was named a Big 10 first team all-star. A
three sport athlete McGrath plays volleyball and
runs track in addition to basketball. She will play
basketball at Saint Rose next year on a full ath¬
letic scholarship.

Rachel Beaulac

School: Troy. Height: 5-10

Class: Senior. Position: Guard/Forward

2007-2008 Accomplishments: Beaulac did it
all for the Flying Horses this year. The senior
averaged a team high 12.2 points, 6.5 rebounds
and two assists per game. She was named to
the second team Big 10 all-star squad, is a
scholar athlete and National Honors Society
member. She will play basketball for
next year.

upset of No. 7 Taconic Hills in the first round of
the Class B sectionals…Second team All-City in

Connor Gallo

School: Lansingburgh. Height: 6-2

Class: Senior. Position: Guard/Forward

2007-08 Accomplishments: Averaged16.5
points and 10 rebounds per game…Scored over
20 points in seven games…First team Colonial
Council All-Star…Also earned 2008 Scholar-
Athlete award from the New York State High
School Football Association…Brother Justin
was a first team All-City selection in 2005-06…

Jordan Gettings

School: Catholic Central. Height: 6-1.

Class: Senior. Position: Guard.

2007-08 Accomplishments: Tied for second-
highest scoring player in the Big 10, averaged
20.2 points and seven assists per
game…Scored double figures in all 22
games…Score over 20 points in 12
games…Second team Big 10 All-Star

Devin Grimes

School: Catholic Central. Height: 6-6.

Class: Senior. Position: Forward

2007-08 Accomplishments: Highest scoring
player in the Big 10, averaged 20.5 points, 10
rebounds and four assists per game…Scored at
least 20 points in 13 games ... Second team Big
10 All-Star…First team All-City 2006-
07…Brother Mike was a first team All-City selec¬
tion in 2005-06…

Matt Harte

School: Lansingburgh. Height: 6-4.

Class: Senior. Position: Forward.

2007-08 Accomplishments: The Knights’ for¬
ward was a presence in the paint all season
long…Finished in double figures in 13
games…Averaged 10.4 points per

Steve Hunt

School: Tamarac. Height: 6-4.

Class: Junior. Position: Small Forward.

2007-08 Accomplishments: Averaged 16.6
points, 7.2 rebounds per game…Six double-
doubles… Third-highest scorer, Wasaren
League… First team Wasaren League All-Star
… Biggest factor in
Tamarac’s turnaround from
a 1-13 Wasaren League record in 2006-07…Led
the Bengals (14-8) to their first sectional victory
in recent memory
