CASTLETON -- One of the great high school sports traditions in the Capital Region is Maple Hill's annual fall sports weekend every Columbus Day. This year's events will take place on Sat., Oct. 9 and Mon. Oct. 11. A full schedule of events is listed below.


Boys Soccer Tournament
First Round Games – Saturday, October 9th:

Final Round Games:
Consolation Game – 15 minutes after the completion of the first round
Championship Game – 15 minutes after the completion of the consolation game

Girls Tennis Tournament – Saturday, October 9th
First Round:
Cobleskill vs. Maple Hill
Greenwich vs. Ichabod Crane

Second Round:
Greenwich vs. Maple Hill
Ichabod Crane vs. Cobleskill

Third Round:
Maple Hill vs. Ichabod Crane
Greenwich vs. Cobleskill

The first round will start at 9:30am and there will be a 20 minute break at the conclusion of each round.

Kiwanis Glover Cross Country Invitational – Saturday, October 9th
Race Schedule:
9:00 – Girls Modified (unlimited entry)
9:25 – Boys Modified (unlimited entry)
9:50 – Girls JV (unlimited entry)
10:20 – Boys JV (unlimited entry)
10:50 – Girls Varsity (7 member team limit)
11:20 – Boys Varsity (7 member team limit)

Teams attending as of September 29th include Berlin, Catskill, Chatham, Greenville, Hawthorne Valley, Hoosic Valley, Lansingburgh, Maple Hill, Ravena, Voorheesville.
