Canzeri is seeing stars

High school football practice starts bright and early Monday morning in New York State. I will be out and about over the course of the next two weeks, working on stories for our 48-page Kickoff 2010 preview section (which will be published on Thursday, Sept. 2) as well as content for the daily paper and the blog between now and the opening day of the season.

There was a piece of interesting news that emerged for Troy High fans this weekend. Rising senior running back Jordan Canzeri received a two-star rating on www.rivals.com, which is a big deal for a local player.

Former Bishop Maginn star Bunduka Kargbo, who now plays safety at the University at Buffalo, was also a two-star recruit.
