Lady Royals headed to the beach for WFC tournament

The Lansingburgh Lady Royals softball teams are heading to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for the World Fastpitch Connection Class A World Series from Aug. 3 to the 9.

The Royals have two 16-and-under teams, a Blue team and a Silver team. The Blues, composed of second-year players, won six straight games at the Mountain Madness tournament in Pennsylvania, which was a PONY National qualifier. They have, however, declined the invitation to the PONY National championship in Ohio to travel to Myrtle Beach instead.
