The Flying Horses captured the first game, but just could not hold off a pesky Burnt Hills team in the Section II Class A final, losing to Burnt Hills by scores of 12-25, 25-17, 25-20 and 25-17.

Still, it was a banner year for the Troy High team - they appeared in a Section II final for the first time since 1992 and with a core group of young players, appears aimed for longterm dominance in the Big 10.
