The NFL quarterback rating formula is a complicated number - you can click here to get all the information you'd like on how the number is calculated.
The maximum rating is 158.3 and according to the stats we've taken at games and received from coaches, Burnt Hills' Paul Layton is leading the way with a rating of 144.1.
The NFL formula rewards completion percentage, number of touchdowns thrown and fewest interceptions thrown. I will try to keep up to date each week with the updated numbers.
