Royals outlast Dodgers in Collar City showdown

Jordan Zareski pitched four scoreless innings on 48 pitches (just under his pitch count of 50) and the Lansingburgh Royals bullpen kept the team in the game, allowing Zareski to hit the game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh inning in a 4-3 victory over the South Troy Dodgers 17s Saturday afternoon.
The Royals, the Dodgers and the South Colonie Raiders advanced to the final round of the UNYSABA Connie Mack Tournament, which wraps up today at 3 p.m. at the Boght Complex.

Don't forget, the Eastern New York Connie Mack home run derby and All-Star game are coming up Monday night at Sorensco Field on Gilligan Road in East Greenbush.
