
Haupt was 0-for-3 prior to his seventh inning sac fly, including a strikeout and two deep fly outs to center field. He said after the game he stranded most of the 15 runners the Cannoneers left on base in Monday's 3-2 sqeuaker over Cobleskill and really needed to come through in the clutch.
"That wasn’t what I had in mind for a game-winning hit," Haupt laughed, "but I’ll take it. A win is a win."

The Cannoneers are tied with the Lansingburgh Knights at 3-0 atop the Colonial Council standings. Reigning Colonial Council champions Ravena fell to 0-2 in the league and are 0-4 overall with the loss.
Watervliet hosts Lansingburgh in a crucial league match on Friday, April 24 at 4 p.m.

In softball news of note today, Waterford-Halfmoon's Katie Cahrenger struck out 11 Emma Willard hitters in a 4-1 victory, increasing her career strikeout total to 506. The senior pitcher has the Lady Foridians off to a great start this season atop the CHVL.
Her teammate, senior shortstop Jamie Van Bramer, has 95 career RBI and is also nearing a milestone.
Lansingburgh's Erin Glikes carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning in an 11-0 triumph for the Lady Knights over Schalmont.
Averill Park's Lauren Haggerty and Alex Fortin combined to blank Guilderland, 1-0, in a Suburban Council game.
