Softball
Tamarac 3, Cambridge 2: Ashley Okenholt provided a two-run double in the fifth inning to give the Bengals (3-7, 6-11) the runs they would need to win in Wasaren League play. Kara Ryan pitched for Tarmac and earned the victory, while also smacking three singles and driving in a run.
Marissa Furfuro doubled and singled for the Indians.
Troy 21, Albany 4: Shannon Jones homered twice, including delivering a grand slam in the fifth inning, as the first-place Flying Horses cruised to a Big 10 victory.
Sam Rivet and Emily Jones also homered for Troy (7-1, 12-6) against the Falcons.
Baseball
Bethlehem 11, Columbia 1: Mike Fish homered, doubled twice, singled and drove in four runs to power an 18-hit attack by the Eagles in the Suburban Council.
Kyle Niehaus chipped in with four singles and two RBI for Bethlehem (8-2, 12-4).
Nolan Gaige singled three times for the Blue Devils (7-3 league).
Cohoes 22, Albany Academy 1:Ian Pingelski hit a grand slam to lead the Tigers (8-4, 12-4) over the Cadets in Colonial Council action. Pingelski finished four-for-five with six runs batted in. Zach Ramsey went four-for-four and Mike Welcome hit a double and drove in three runs for Cohoes.
Brian McDonald hit a solo home run for Albany Academy (1-12, 1-13).
Niskayuna 6, Colonie 5: John Moore singled with two outs in the seventh inning to lift the Silver Warriors to a Suburban Council triumph. Adrian Mitchell doubled and singled twice for Niskayuna (6-4, 11-4) and Joe Privitera doubled and singled.
Matt Weiman hit two singles for the Garnet Raiders (5-5, 11-6).
